Manager License! This is a requirement for the role Must have at least 2 years of high volume bartending experience
JOB DUTIES
Be gracious, friendly, patient and have a helpful attitude towards guests Serve draft beer adhering to the Cicerone guidelines Make and serve craft cocktails and all other alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages Serve customers at the bar top and order line Be helpful in guiding guests through our beer options, help them build beer flights if desired. Direct barbacks and host to tasks that need to be done immediately in and around the patios and taproom ID check guests adhering to our ID check policy Accurately run tabs for drinks and other offerings using a tablet POS system Have a strong knowledge of all products sold
  • Craft Beer, Cider, Wine, and Liquor Maintain a clean and inviting taproom and surrounding areas Restocking, cleaning, setup and/or breakdown of the bar, taproom, restrooms, patio, and all other service areas as needed Change Kegs when needed in an accurately and timely manner Clean various glassware, utensils, bar equipment, tables, etc.
Follow all safety and health regulations Understand that we are a safe space for all, and discrimination is not tolerated We host all sorts of events including : Drag Shows, Trivia, Drag Bingo, Sports events, Comedy Shows. Must be able to work in high volume and possibly loud environments without judgement. Perform Opening and/or Closing Manager duties Maintain current ABRA license
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have at least 2 years bartending experience in a high volume bar, restaurant, brewpub, or brewery setting. Enjoy Board games and/or be willing to learn about them. Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Enjoy working in public in a positive friendly manner Ability to take direction and work both independently as well as part of a team Ability to communicate effectively with customers, other staff and management Passion for craft beer and brewing with a desire to learn more Knowledge of craft cocktails and liquors, with a desire to create recipes Positive, fun attitude and self-motivated work ethic Must be TIPS (DC) Certified within 30 days of hire Be able to work in a noisy and often very active environment Ability to stand in one place for extended periods of time Ability to work outside for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Commitment to learn basic ASL to assist guests. Must be comfortable interacting with guests who may be hard of hearing or hearing impaired. Flexible schedule with availability on nights and weekends. We are open 11:30am

Willingness & ability to engage with digital interface for scheduling & team communication. We use Tablets, and Internet based scheduling systems. This is a part time position, 2-3 shifts a week, but has the option of full time for ideal candidate
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bar management experience Committed to learning basic ASL Must have or obtain ABRA Manager License by start date (required) Must have or get Cicerone Certified
  • Beer Server Level 1 in first 6 months Bar, Restaurant, or Brewery Experience (required) Board Game familiarity is desired.
