Job Description

About the job: Hunters & Gatherers is a scratch-made, chef-driven restaurant in the heart of Downtown DeLand. We're looking for a craft cocktail bartender who can also take tables — someone who genuinely loves hospitality, knows their way around a well-stocked bar, and brings warmth and professionalism to every shift. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen-forward environment and want to be part of a tight-knit team doing things the right way, this is the spot.
Duties:
Craft and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard of quality and presentation Take tables and provide full-service dining, from greeting and menu guidance to order entry and delivery Enter orders accurately using our POS system (Toast) and maintain smooth ticket flow during service Offer genuine, knowledgeable recommendations on food and drink — you know the menu and you love talking about it Handle cash and card transactions accurately; process payments with care Keep the bar and dining areas clean, organized, and up to code throughout every shift Hold your own during a busy Friday/Saturday night — multitasking is second nature to you
Experience & Qualifications:
Previous bartending experience required — craft cocktail background strongly preferred Table service experience a plus; combo bar/server roles a big plus Comfortable with POS systems; Toast experience is a bonus but not required Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one Responsible alcohol service knowledge (TIPS, ServSafe, or equivalent) Available nights, weekends, and holidays — flexibility matters here A team-first attitude, strong attention to detail, and the kind of energy guests remember
