Lead Bartender

TIMBR is seeking a passionate, driven, hospitality-focused Lead Bartender to help shape one of Fort Lauderdale's most exciting beverage programs. This is not a standard bartending position. We are building a beverage culture centered around: world-class hospitality energy and atmosphere technical execution modern cocktail culture late-night lounge programming elevated dining room service and a bar identity capable of becoming nationally recognized Our vision is to create: a lounge program with the energy and relevance of a modern World's 50 Best-style cocktail bar while simultaneously operating a polished, high-level dining room bar program that supports the full TIMBR experience We are looking for someone who wants to help build that.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Lead Bartender will work directly with ownership and leadership to: elevate cocktail standards improve bar culture and consistency drive guest engagement support menu development strengthen late-night lounge programming mentor bartenders and help create one of the strongest beverage experiences in South Florida This role is highly guest-facing and requires both technical skill and strong personality. The ideal candidate understands that modern hospitality is not only about cocktails — it is about creating memorable moments, energy, and emotional connection.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Bar & Beverage Leadership Execute high-level cocktail service with consistency and urgency Maintain exceptional product knowledge across spirits, wine, beer, and cocktails Assist in cocktail development and seasonal menu evolution Ensure all drinks meet presentation and execution standards Support efficient service in both lounge and dining room environments Assist with inventory, pars, prep systems, and ordering processes Help develop a stronger premium spirits and champagne culture Lounge Experience Development Help shape the identity and energy of the TIMBR Lounge Drive atmosphere through hospitality, pacing, music awareness, and guest interaction Create regular guests and VIP relationships Assist in developing signature beverage moments and guest experiences Understand modern cocktail trends, social relevance, and nightlife culture Team Leadership Lead by example on the floor Mentor and coach bartenders Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professionalism behind the bar Assist with training and onboarding Help improve standards, systems, and accountability Maintain calm, composed leadership during high-volume service Hospitality Expectations Anticipate guest needs before they arise Build genuine guest relationships Deliver warm, confident, high-energy hospitality Maintain composure under pressure Contribute positively to team culture and morale

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who is: passionate about hospitality and cocktail culture highly organized naturally charismatic detail-oriented ambitious calm under pressure excited by high-energy environments interested in helping build something meaningful long-term The ideal candidate understands both: elevated dining room hospitality and modern lounge/bar culture

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

High-volume cocktail experience Fine dining or upscale hospitality background Strong spirits and classic cocktail knowledge Experience with nightlife or lounge environments preferred Leadership or training experience preferred Strong wine and champagne knowledge is a plus
