Duties Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Toast. Engage with guests to recommend drinks, answer questions about menu items, and provide outstanding customer service that encourages repeat visits. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering, processing payments, and balancing registers at the end of each shift. Assist in setup and breakdown of bar areas for events such as banquets or catering functions, ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for service. Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment, especially during nightlife hours or in nightclub settings. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders seamlessly during busy periods. Skills Proven experience with POS systems such as Toast; strong cash handling skills. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach that makes guests feel appreciated. Knowledge of food safety regulations, food handling practices, and proper alcohol serving procedures. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during high-volume shifts. Experience working in fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or banquet environments is highly desirable. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for sales transactions and retail math scenarios. Familiarity with beverage preparation techniques including brewing coffee or tea if applicable; knowledge of the food industry is a plus.
