Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Barback and become a vital support to our bustling restaurant! As a Barback, you will be the backbone of the bar service team, ensuring smooth operations by maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and assisting bartenders with food and beverage needs. Your energetic attitude and attention to detail will help create a lively, welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food and hospitality industry while working in a fast-paced, vibrant setting. Duties Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning glassware, and sanitizing equipment to uphold health standards. Restock bar supplies such as liquor bottles, mixers, garnishes, and utensils to ensure bartenders are well-equipped throughout shifts. Assist with food preparation tasks like garnishing drinks, preparing simple snacks or appetizers, and supporting catering setups when needed. Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes promptly to keep the service area tidy and efficient. Support bartenders by fetching ice, opening bottles, and handling POS (Point of Sale) transactions using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS. Help with food handling and safety procedures in accordance with health regulations during service. Provide excellent customer service by engaging positively with guests and responding to their needs courteously. Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred; experience in nightclubs, restaurants, or banquet settings is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in cash handling and order processing. Knowledge of food handling safety standards and basic food preparation skills are highly desirable. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Experience working in hotel or catering environments can be advantageous for understanding diverse service needs. Previous roles as a barista or in serving positions demonstrate a solid foundation in customer interaction and hospitality principles.
