We're an all-day European-inspired café and bar — coffee in the morning, cocktails at night, and a warm, unhurried atmosphere in between. The cocktail program is rooted in tradition, refined by craft, and built to stand alongside the best in any city. The bartenders are the reason it works. The Role This is a cocktail-first role in an all-day concept, which means you'll be behind a bar that means something to the neighborhood. You'll execute a thoughtful cocktail program every evening, carry the energy of the space from happy hour through late night, and know enough about coffee to handle the essentials when the sun goes down and the café menu narrows. The standard here is high. The atmosphere is warm. And the guests — many of them regulars — notice the difference. What You'll Do Execute Intermezzo's full cocktail menu with consistency, accuracy, and speed Deliver genuine, guest-first hospitality — make people feel welcome, known, and taken care of Learn and confidently execute the evening coffee menu — espresso fundamentals, a small selection of café drinks Contribute ideas to cocktail development — new specs, seasonal concepts, improvements to the menu Complete opening and closing duties with ownership and attention to detail Keep your bar clean, stocked, and running ahead of the night — not behind it Contribute to a culture that takes craft seriously without taking itself too seriously What We're Looking For Prior cocktail bar experience required — you know your way around a spec and can execute under pressure A genuine love of hospitality — the craft matters, but so does the person in front of you Curiosity about coffee — you don't need to be a barista, but you'll need to learn the basics and care about getting them right Someone who reads a room and responds to it — the energy of a Tuesday is different from a Saturday A team-first attitude — you set the tone for the people working alongside you Must be 21 or older with weekend availability required Compensation & Details $11-13/hour (commensurate with experience) + tips Part-time and full-time positions available St. Petersburg, Florida Why Intermezzo Nearly a decade in, and the room still fills up every night.
