Pete Saint Petersburg, FL Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Guest relations TIPS Sanitation procedures Full Job Description The Bartender sets up, prepares and serves beverages and breaks down bars in safe and efficient compliance with Company policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations. Processes guest checks and payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card and room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management. Bartenders are expected to be friendly, optimistic, detail-oriented, have an outgoing personality, enjoy a proven passion and ability to anticipate and exceed our guests' needs, and can comprehend and deliver service standards. They must be able to leverage their knowledge of food and beverage operations to excel at guest and team member relations while complying with applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
Essential Functions:
Set up bar in compliance with policies, procedures and brand standards. Prepare and serve drinks following policies and procedures, proper food handling and serving techniques, alcohol awareness, and federal, state and local regulations. Immediately notify management of incidents involving possible excessive alcohol consumption or an impaired condition. Processes guest checks and payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card and room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures. Report all tips in compliance with company policy and IRS regulations. Maintain clean bar and ashtrays including proper removal of trash, empty glasses, etc. Thoroughly clean bar and properly return equipment and supplies to proper areas at end of shift. Ensure all liquor is properly secured before, during and after shift. Perform assigned sidework. On time and at work when scheduled, and in proper uniform. Attend department meetings as scheduled. Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and associates. Report any incidents of guest dissatisfaction or unusual matters of significance to manager / supervisor so that corrective measures may be taken. Write shift reports including reports on any incidents of theft, accidents or injuries when assigned. Check with manager / supervisor before leaving work area for any reason. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as requested. Any other tasks / duties as requested by management Qualifications The Company may consider equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience providing the knowledge, skills and abilities cited below. Education and Experience High school education plus bartending training. Two or more years of related experience. Alcohol awareness certification and familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred. Skills and Abilities Special knowledge or skills necessary for this position: o Minimum legal age to serve alcoholic beverages Knowledge of workplace safety procedures Licenses, certification or registrations required for this position: o Alcohol awareness certification TIPS Training Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service. Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage. Ability to operate a phone and other office equipment. Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills. Consistent professional mindset and behavior with effective listening and communication skills and able to work in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.
