Job Description

  • Hourly Pay Range is based on average payout to our Employees with base hourly rate plus tips
  • I. Summary of the main function/purpose of the position: Bartenders are responsible for mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non
  • alcoholic drinks.
Keeping the bar stocked and clean while always providing friendly and attentive service. All while adhering to company standards for serving alcoholic beverages. Bartenders are also required to have food menu knowledge and must be able to provide a full-service dining experience. II.
Principal duties/responsibilities:
The bartender is responsible for building cocktails based on house recipes in a timely fashion with proper technique and cleanliness. Communicating with the bar back on things that are needed during the shift (i.e ice filled, juice pulled, syrups made on the fly, bottles filled). Checking in with the floor bartender to ensure that all tables are taken care of and enjoying their drinks—helping where needed to water tables, run food, or take orders when slow. Checking in with bartender for the night to make sure they have everything they need Contribute drink ideas and flavors to the House cocktail menu and/or seasonal menus.
  • Workshop all ideas with Bar Manager Having menu knowledge of spirits and cocktails in order to make recommendations for guests as well as answer any questions Contributing in book club Ability to coach support staff when questions need to be answered Having knowledge of all food items
  • Knowledge of cheese (type of milk used, age statement, type of aging, origin, flavor profile, accoutrements)
  • Knowledge of Charcuterie (type of meat, aging process, origin, accoutrements)
  • Know allergens in all food items
  • Have knowledge of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options Provide a full-service dining experience and prioritize guests needs when working floor shifts III.
Occasional duties or projects which may be performed at irregular intervals: Have the ability and knowledge to seat guests in absence of the host and inform other guests about our seating policies and waitlist. Working the floor on nights they are scheduled to do so. Perform any additional tasks as assigned by supervisor or ownership IV.

Responsible for keeping track of all payments and receipts, as well as entering tips into the POS system accurately.
Safety:
Ensures customer payment information remains confidential. Follow alcohol and food safety rules and regulations to ensure a clean and safe dining environment.

Supervisors (Bar Manager) VII. Educational and/or equivalence in experience requirements:
  • Specialized or technical educational requirements: Ability to read, write, and enter information into a POS system Ability to read drink recipes and measure ingredients accurately using provided bar tools.
  • Certification or licensing requirements: Valid Florida Driver's License or dependable transportation when and where public transportation is not available. Servsafe and TIPS certification required. VIII. Specialized equipment or machines used in the course of the duties of the position.

Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, and is required to talk and hear at full capacity. The employee is constantly required to stand and walk for up to 8 hour stretches. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms up to 72 inches. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Front of house positions are required to be able to lift and carry 40-50lbs and back of house positions are required to be able to lift and carry 50-60lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
