This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to network in Tampa. District Tavern is your classic neighborhood bar, but with an upscale twist. Located in the heart of the Channel District of Downtown Tampa, often referred to as Channelside - just minutes away from Ybor and SOHO. We bring together new American cuisine, craft cocktails, craft beer and top-quality wines. District Tavern is open daily at 11am, with Brunch on Saturday and Sunday. ​We are located in the SkyHouse Channelside apartment building on the ground floor, with street parking and garage parking directly behind. We are just steps from the free TECO Line Streetcar System and on the route of The Downtowner free ride service. Just blocks from Water Street Tampa and Sparkman Wharf; we get business before and after a Lightning Hockey game and any event at Amalie Arena. Within walking distance from Channel Club, The Place, Pierhouse, Grand Central and The Towers, we truly are Channelside's neighborhood bar. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. ; process transactions efficiently with cash handling and cashiering skills. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests professionally, answering questions about menu items, and making personalized recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, adhering to food safety and food handling protocols. Manage multiple tables and bar simultaneously through effective time management and prioritization skills. Make guests feel at home and contribute to a lively, fun environment. Qualifications Previous bartending and food service experience required. Proficiency with POS systems such as TOAST; basic math skills for cash handling. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude; ability to serve diverse clientele. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment; multitasking is key! Excellent communication skills and teamwork to ensure seamless service.
