- Part-time, Full-time Bartender Role Summary The Bartender at MICS Karaoke is a master of mixology, speed, and energy.
Beverage Mixology:
Prepare and serve craft cocktails, beers, wines, and signature themed pitchers according to strict recipe and presentation standards.Speed of Service:
Manage a high-volume ticket well, balancing walk-up bar guests with service-well tickets for private rooms without compromising quality.Guest Engagement:
Deliver welcoming, charismatic hospitality to main bar guests, converting first-time visitors into venue regulars.Upselling:
Proactively recommend premium spirit upgrades, signature cocktails, and shareable food items to maximize check sizes. Cash Handling & Point of Sale (POS)Tab Management:
Open, maintain, and close guest tabs accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and split checks efficiently.Ring-In Accuracy:
Ensure every single ingredient and drink poured is properly entered into the POS system before serving to protect margins. Inventory, Sanitation & PrepBar Prep:
Complete exhaustive opening bar prep, including juicing fresh citrus, cutting garnishes, making custom syrups, and stocking ice.Station Cleanliness:
Keep the bar tops, wells, back bar, and glassware pristine, sanitized, and organized throughout the entire shift.Closing Breakdowns:
Execute nightly deep-cleaning tasks, including burning wells, sanitizing soda guns, restocking liquors, and locking up stock inventory. Compliance & Safety EnforcementAge Verification:
Scrutinize and verify guest identification to ensure 100% compliance with local legal drinking age laws.Responsible Pouring:
Monitor guest behavior and intoxication levels, practicing safe service cuts and handling over-intoxication professionally. Required Profile & Qualifications Education & Experience- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, nightclub, high-energy lounge, or busy bar environment.
- Current state-approved Alcohol Server Certification and/or ServSafe Food Handler Certification. Core Competencies
Mixology Knowledge:
Deep foundational understanding of classic cocktail builds, pour techniques, spirit profiles, and garnishing.Mental Math:
Ability to quickly calculate tabs, process cash transactions, and track pour counts under pressure.Physical Stamina:
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs (such as ice buckets or kegs), stand for long periods, and move quickly in tight spaces. Work Schedule Requirements- Primary availability must include late nights, weekends (Friday and Saturday), and major holidays.
- Average work week consists of 20-35 hours (part-time and full-time tracks available).
Pay:
$18.00- $30.
