Job Description

About alonetogether alonetogether is a Thai-Haitian-French Creole restaurant and chef-driven non-alcoholic bar in Atlanta. Rooted in culture, craftsmanship, and hospitality, we bring together the flavors, traditions, and stories of Thailand, Haiti, and French Creole cuisine through a thoughtful dining experience. Our beverage program is not an afterthought—it is a central part of the guest experience. Built around culinary technique, cultural ingredients, wellness-minded offerings, and innovative preparation methods, our bar creates sophisticated drinks that stand alongside the food rather than serve as substitutes for alcohol. At alonetogether, we believe hospitality is an act of care. Every detail, from the ingredients we source to the way we welcome guests, is intentional. We are seeking hospitality professionals who are passionate about flavor, craft, and guest experience, and who are excited to help redefine what a modern bar can be. Position Summary The Bar Steward is responsible for executing our chef-driven non-alcoholic beverage program while delivering exceptional hospitality. This role combines beverage preparation, guest engagement, and storytelling to create memorable experiences around our innovative beverage offerings. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about ingredients, flavor development, and hospitality. While traditional bartending experience is valuable, we are equally interested in candidates with backgrounds in specialty coffee, culinary arts, tea, wellness beverages, fermentation, or fine dining service. This is a hospitality-first role. Successful candidates will be excited to educate guests, share the story behind our ingredients and techniques, and contribute to a beverage experience that is every bit as thoughtful and sophisticated as our culinary program. Key Responsibilities Beverage Execution Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages, tonics, nectars, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and standards. Execute advanced beverage techniques including clarification, centrifugation, infusions, reductions, fermentation, carbonation, and other culinary methods. Maintain consistency, precision, and presentation standards across all beverages. Assist in beverage prep, batching, ingredient production, and daily mise en place. Ensure every beverage reflects the creativity, quality, and standards of the alonetogether beverage program. Guest Experience & Hospitality Deliver warm, attentive, and personalized hospitality to every guest. Guide guests through the beverage menu and make thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences and dining choices. Educate guests about ingredients, techniques, cultural influences, and the philosophy behind our chef-driven beverage program. Create an inclusive environment where all guests feel welcomed and celebrated regardless of their relationship to alcohol. Build meaningful guest connections that encourage repeat visits and lasting relationships. Bar Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation throughout service. Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational responsibilities. Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to management. Follow all sanitation, food safety, and operational procedures. Support service staff and collaborate with kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless execution of service. Learning & Development Continuously develop knowledge of ingredients, flavor profiles, culinary techniques, coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic beverage trends. Participate in menu training, tastings, and beverage development sessions. Contribute ideas and feedback that help evolve the beverage program. Remain curious and committed to learning in a highly creative culinary environment. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of bartending, barista, beverage, culinary, or fine dining service experience preferred. Fine dining or elevated hospitality experience strongly preferred. Passion for food, beverage, hospitality, and guest engagement. Interest in culinary techniques, flavor development, fermentation, specialty coffee, tea, and ingredient-driven beverages. Strong communication and storytelling skills. Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset. Willingness to learn and embrace a unique chef-driven approach to beverage service. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout service. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. What Success Looks Like Guests leave with a deeper appreciation for non-alcoholic beverages and the alonetogether experience. Every beverage is executed with precision, consistency, and care. The bar remains organized, prepared, and service-ready at all times. Team members contribute positively to a culture of hospitality, curiosity, and excellence. Guests feel welcomed, informed, and inspired by every interaction. The beverage experience is recognized as an integral part of the restaurant's identity and guest journey.
