You'll be the expert behind the bar, crafting high-quality cocktails, beers, and wines while delivering exceptional hospitality to guests seated at the bar and supporting servers with drink orders for tables. In a fast-paced environment, you'll multitask efficiently, engage customers with personality, and help create memorable experiences that keep them coming back. Key Responsibilities Greet bar guests warmly, engage in friendly conversation, and build rapport to enhance the dining/drinking experience. Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic and signature cocktails, following precise recipes and presentation standards. Recommend drinks, pairings, and specials based on guest preferences, mood, or menu items. Take accurate orders from bar patrons and input them into Toast POS; coordinate efficiently with kitchen and servers for table drink orders. Check IDs to ensure responsible alcohol service; monitor guests for signs of intoxication and handle situations professionally per state laws and company policy. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar: restock liquors, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and ice; prepare garnishes and bar setups.
Perform opening/closing duties:
set up bar stations, reconcile cash/credit payments, and complete side work (e.g., cutting fruit, washing tools). Handle payments accurately at the bar, including cash, cards, splits, and tabs; process to-go orders if applicable. Upsell premium spirits, specials, or add-ons to maximize sales and guest satisfaction. Collaborate with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy shifts. Adhere to all health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service regulations (including proper handling and storage). Assist with light bar food service or snacks for bar guests when needed. Requirements & Qualifications At least 1-2 years of bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or high-volume bar preferred (will consider strong server-to-bartender transitions with training). Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and mixology techniques; creative flair for specials is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a warm, engaging, and professional personality. Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong memory for recipes, guest preferences, and tab management. Basic math skills for accurate transactions and cash handling. Familiarity with Toast POS; training provided as needed. BASSET certification or willingness to acquire one. Food Handler's certification or willingness to acquire one. Must be at least 21 years old. Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, late nights, and holidays. Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift/carry up to 40-50 lbs (cases, kegs), and perform repetitive tasks. Team player with good communication and problem-solving abilities.
