Full Job Description Classification:

Non-Exempt Position Summary The Server/Bartender is responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service to members and guests in both dining and bar areas. This dual-role position includes preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking and delivering food orders, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in all service areas. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Bartending Duties Inspect and set up the bar prior to service, ensuring proper stock and supplies are available. Prepare garnishes, mixes, and other items necessary for service. Mix, prepare, and serve drinks in accordance with standard recipes. Maintain accurate records of liquor, beer, and wine to ensure adequate inventory. Clean and maintain the bar area, equipment, and tools; complete all closing and security procedures. Follow all state and club policies regarding the responsible service of alcohol. Serving Duties Set up assigned side stations and complete required prep work. Greet and seat members and guests in a professional and courteous manner. Present menus, take orders, and provide recommendations on food, wine, and daily specials. Place orders with the kitchen and communicate any special requests. Serve meals and beverages promptly and accurately; follow service sequence standards. Clear and reset tables, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for the next service. Present checks, process payments, and follow standard operating procedures for handling charges. General Responsibilities Attend pre-shift line-ups, staff meetings, and training sessions as required. Ensure all food items are stored, labeled, dated, and rotated properly in accordance with safety standards. Follow all beverage and revenue control procedures. Report member or guest complaints promptly to management. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Requirements Previous serving and/or bartending experience preferred. Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages. Food safety certification required. Alcohol service certification required (or ability to obtain). Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on member and guest service. Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, and reach as necessary. Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform repetitive motions. Work may be performed in hot, humid, and noisy environments.
