This position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating memorable guest experiences, crafting quality cocktails, and sharing Kentucky bourbon with visitors from around the world. Our bartenders serve guests in our distillery bar, support special events and weddings, and play an important role in delivering the warm, authentic hospitality that Bluegrass Distillers is known for. Responsibilities Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits in accordance with company standards and Kentucky ABC regulations Educate guests on Bluegrass Distillers products, bourbon styles, and cocktail offerings Provide exceptional hospitality to visitors, tour guests, and event attendees Process transactions through Square POS and accurately handle cash and credit card payments Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, back bar, and service areas Assist with setup and breakdown of events, private parties, weddings, and corporate gatherings Monitor guest consumption and promote responsible alcohol service Restock inventory, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed Collaborate with the events, tours, and hospitality teams to ensure seamless guest experiences Qualifications Previous bartending experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Knowledge of bourbon, whiskey, and craft cocktails preferred (or willingness to learn) Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds Must be at least 21 years of age What We're Looking For Friendly, outgoing personality Professional and dependable Comfortable engaging with guests from diverse backgrounds Team-oriented mindset Passion for hospitality, bourbon, and Kentucky tourism About Bluegrass Distillers Bluegrass Distillers is a Kentucky distillery producing award-winning bourbon and rye whiskey.
