JOB SUMMARY
The Bartender at Nobu is responsible for the preparation of food and drink orders at the assigned outlet while providing excellent guest service. HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
Receives food and drink orders from customers or servers and provides prompt and courteous service while preparing drink orders according to request. Processes proficient sales transactions - using a point-of-sale system; handles cash, credit & other forms of payment while maintaining proper cash drawer balances. Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking identification - for guests who appear to be under 30 years old. Communicates to food and beverage management the need for stock of beverage items and equipment. Ensures that clean and sanitary conditions of bar service area are maintained. Maintains organization of all supplies and equipment in service areas. Demonstrates responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to established guidelines. Demonstrate expert knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail ingredients, and beverage offerings, including Nobu's signature drinks. Provides suggestive selling - using proven techniques. Completes special assignments for upper management as requested. Collaborate with other team members, including servers, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure seamless coordination and exceptional service delivery. WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Success at Nobu Restaurant is defined by traits like a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a demonstrated history of anticipatory service. Previous experience of at least one year in a high-volume, fine dining establishment is preferred. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. A minimum of 3-5 year of experience as a Bartender in a high-volume nightclub or high-volume restaurant required. Knowledge of drink recipes and preparation. Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a warm and welcoming manner. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the hospitality industry. Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency. Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests. A FEW MORE THINGS
Loud, fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint. Must be neat and clean in appearance and physically fit to perform the duties required Ability to move throughout the outlet (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time. Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists. Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear. Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders. Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 25 pounds. Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion. Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment. ABOUT US
