You probably have some prior experience at other bars and/or restaurants, but maybe you're new at this role and want an opportunity to start. Either way, you possess significant knowledge of classic cocktails and know how to make a good drink. Maybe you'll even create your own cocktails to be featured on our rotating menu. Who we are at NAMU Distilling Co. We are New England's first and only Korean-American craft distillery, specializing in spirits distilled from rice wine. Our gin and soju are distilled to perfection with the belief that real moments aren't mass-produced — they're experienced. Our bar and fully in-house cocktail program is the main focus for the distillery, where we want to showcase our spirits in unique cocktails where every component, including all the alcohol, is made by us. Our vision is inspired by the botanicals and terroir of both New England and South Korea.

Critical Responsibilities Bartending :

Work multiple shifts per week making cocktails for our rotating menu Prep garnishes, cocktail ingredients, etc. Adhere to all local, state, and federal liquor laws

Guest Experience :

Ensure all guests feel welcome and taken care of Gently manage intoxicated guests, including identifying when to stop serving a guest Suggest cocktails based on guest preferences Qualifications (required) Extensive classic and contemporary cocktail knowledge TIPS certified or equivalent Must be able to work standing for multiple hours in a row Must be able to lift 50lbs Beneficial Skills and Experience (not required) You have created original cocktails and are not afraid to experiment Prior experience as a bartender with a focus on making cocktails Knowledge of Korean food and beverages, especially soju Multilingual Benefits Free bus and/or subway fare to and from work at NAMU Leadership and growth opportunities into management roles Above-average pre-tip salary for the Boston market Creative freedom to collaborate on menu development and suggest new ingredients
