The concept of LoLa 42 derived from our first location located on Nantucket Island. Lola 42 provides guests with the opportunity to experience a worldly culinary delight, which takes them on a global journey across the 42nd parallel. This ingenious creation gave them the chance to awaken their senses to cuisines from faraway countries such as Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Japan, and of course the United States. We not only design our culinary menu around these locations, but the wine and sake lists are developed and influenced equally from these geographical points. This concept is continued throughout the design of the restaurant as well. Along the bar, you will notice that there are coins embedded in the concrete which represent each country along the 42nd parallel. It is important to inform our guests of these unique and interesting facets that make LoLa 42 a one-of-a-kind experience, for both dining and ambiance. We are looking for an experienced bartender to join our team, part-time or full-time. We are a fast-paced, fine dining but with a twist of casual/sexy vibe. The best-fit candidates should be able to multi-task and know how to keep themselves busy at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
• Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
• Monitor customer behavior and ensure responsible alcohol consumption
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns or complaints
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations

Skills:

• Cash handling: Ability to accurately handle cash transactions and provide change to customers
• Restaurant experience: Familiarity with restaurant operations, including taking orders, serving food, and working in a fast-paced environment

• Hospitality:

  Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
• Math skills: Proficiency in basic math calculations for measuring ingredients, calculating bills, and handling cash transactions
• Cash register operation: Experience using a cash register or point-of-sale system to process payments accurately
• Food handling: Knowledge of proper food safety and hygiene practices to ensure the safety of customers

Helpfulness:

Willingness to assist other staff members as needed to ensure efficient service
