At Black Bamboo, the food, drinks, and entertainment aren't three separate things — they're one seamless experience. We call it eat-tertainment - and it's at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for talented bartenders who are as passionate about hospitality as they are about their craft. This position pays the Massachusetts service rate of $6.75/hour plus tips. Based on our volume and location steps from TD Garden, bartenders and servers typically earn $20-30/hour or more when tips are included. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will craft and serve beverages with precision and flair, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience. Your enthusiasm for hospitality, combined with your ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, will help create a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Whether working in a bustling nightclub, a refined fine dining setting, or a lively banquet environment, you will be the face of our service team, delivering top-tier customer service while maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards. Responsibilities Craft and execute all cocktails, mocktails, and beverage orders accurately and efficiently Deliver exceptional bar-side service to seated guests, including menu guidance and recommendations Maintain thorough knowledge of Black Bamboo's cocktail menu, sake, soju, and wine program Monitor guest alcohol consumption and comply with all Massachusetts liquor laws Manage bar inventory, including stocking, rotating, and communicating supply needs Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar at all times Operate POS system and handle cash and card transactions accurately Collaborate with front-of-house team to support seamless service Assist in the development and seasonal refreshing of the cocktail menu Skills Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments, especially in restaurant, nightclubs, or private party settings. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect quickly with diverse guests. Strong time management skills to handle busy shifts efficiently without compromising quality. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to perform basic math for sales transactions and retail math calculations accurately. Experience in serving alcohol responsibly in compliance with legal regulations; familiarity with brewing or beverage curation is a plus.
