Job Description

BARTENDER RESPONSIBILITES
Bartenders have a mixed role of guest services as well as the assembly and construction of products to be consumed by our guests. The bar is a stage where there is a constant audience observing you perform each step of you job duties. Creating flavorful, well balanced cocktails while offering a full service experience to the patrons is the basis of being a bartender. You will be expected to have a complete knowledge of food and drink menu, including all ingredients and preparations. General break down of a shift would be:
  • Arrive promptly to work, clock-in and then begin completing opening duties
  • Set up the bar to prepare for entire dinner service (fill ice wells, prep garnishes, juices and mixers, stock any liquor/wines/beers necessary etc.)
  • Closing bartender counts drawer to verify the expected amount is accurate
  • Greet all bar guests in a professional and timely manner, offering cocktail and dinner menus
  • Create all beverages for bar guests and dining room guests, adhering to house recipes
  • Accurately ring in all beverages made (including mistakes on a spill tab)
  • Place set for guests dining at the bar top (placemats, silverware, napkin)
  • Communicate with bar back and managers of any needs or issues that should the arise
  • Keep available bar seats clean and inviting
  • As service slows down, closing side work may begin
  • Once bar is fully broken down, ask to be checked out by manager
  • Closing paper work should be completed clearly and accurately, then turn into closing manager
  • Clock out, be sure to take home any personal cups or items that you brought with every shift There are many other duties you will be expected to perform as a bartender.
Keeping a clean, and safe environment behind the bar will be crucial. We of course wish to keep all our team members safe, as well as having a presentable atmosphere where guest will want to drink, dine and unwind.
