Job Description

Job Summary Join our vibrant team as a Bar Supervisor/Bartender, where you will be the heartbeat of our bar operations, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. This dynamic role combines the artistry of bartending with leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining high standards of hospitality, and fostering a welcoming environment. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Oversee daily bar operations, including shift management, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with food safety and alcohol regulations. Train and mentor staff on proper bartending techniques, customer service excellence, POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, and food handling procedures. Manage cash handling processes accurately during shifts while maintaining accountability for all financial transactions. Monitor stock levels regularly; reorder supplies as needed to prevent shortages and reduce waste through effective inventory control. Supervise the team's workflow during busy hours to ensure quick service in a fast-paced environment typical of casual dining or hotel bars. Collaborate with kitchen staff on food preparation when applicable, supporting overall food production and presentation standards. Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and foster repeat business. Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding new team members, and conducting ongoing training & development initiatives to elevate team performance. Uphold cleanliness standards in the bar area, including sanitation of equipment and adherence to food safety guidelines. Skills Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices within a hospitality or restaurant environment. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing and cash handling. Strong background in managing inventory control, budgeting, and food/food industry management principles. Proven supervising experience with team management skills; capable of training staff effectively and leading shifts confidently. Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly demeanor; adept at resolving guest concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction. Knowledge of beverage crafting techniques including cocktail mixing and barista or coffee experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with restaurant management practices including shift management, kitchen management, hospitality management, and catering operations. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork; skilled in interviewing candidates and developing staff through training & development programs. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a quick-service or fast-food restaurant setting while maintaining high standards of quality.
