Server/Bartender

Overview We are looking for a great Server/Bartender for our restaurant in the heart of North Adams. Situated across the road from MASS MoCA we cater to visitors and locals alike, specializing in European comfort food with an emphasis on seasonal, local ingredients & hand crafted cocktails. Door Prize has been is looking to add a new FOH member to the team. We are looking for a trained server with some bartending experience preferred. Weekend & evening availability is required for this position. Please note you must be available June 19th-20th and July 17th-19th. Please do not apply if you are not able to work those days! Duties Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the Toast POS system. Provide detailed information about menu items & beverages to guests. Set Up Bar for service with appropriate housemade syrups, garnishes & equipment Develop specialty cocktails with management Inventory bar and insure you inform the manager if you are low on certain items Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining/drinking experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Process payments using cash registers and POS systems, ensuring accuracy in transactions. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders. Maintain cleanliness of the dining & bar area, including sanitizing surfaces and clearing tables as needed. Assist with training new staff members on guest services and operational procedures as needed. Requirements Previous experience in the food/bar industry is required. Must have at least 1 year full dining serving experience. Counter service (i.e. fast food) is not applicable experience for this position Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Familiarity with cash register operations and basic sales techniques. Experience with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed, including changing a keg or putting away liquor/beer/wine deliveries in basement A commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations.
