Server & Bartender at Mighty Squirrel Taproom & Kitchen (Arsenal Yards, Watertown, MA)

Job description We are looking for a fun, motivated, and self-starting individual to join our Taproom team interested in any of the following aspects of our operations: server, bartender, host, and barista work at our coffee bar. This individual must have a passion for people, food, craft beer, and coffee. This individual must also enjoy sharing their passion with others. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience. Each taproom staff member will be on the front lines of sharing our story and representing our brand. Being able to provide value to our guests through sharing your passion and love for craft beer is a must. We take pride in providing the tools to be successful with the company. We will cross train through different departments which will allow you to master all of the positions below. The ideal candidate will be passionate, committed, relentlessly quality focused, a good listener, mentor, and teammate. This position will report to our Bar Leads, AGM and GM. You will ideally be able to join our team as soon as possible. Must be 21 plus and available weekends, nights, and holidays. About Mighty Squirrel Brewing Co. Mighty Squirrel was founded in 2015 by friends and homebrewers Naveen Pawar and Henry Manice . Since then, we've expanded the distribution of our beers across Massachusetts through our partner, Atlantic Beverage . Job Responsibilities Customer Service:

Assist customers in their beer & food selections through guest feedback and effective communication of our beer & food options Assist customers in their coffee and retail beer 4pk selections with outstanding communication Train on our coffee making processes and utilize these skill-sets to give our guests the best coffee experience possible Provide our guests with professional, hospitable, and timely service Stock and re-stock coffee bar and retail beer 4pks as needed Prepare and plate food items Practice safe food prep and handling up to ServSafe standards Share your passion for coffee and interact well with guests Assist in private events as needed Clean and bus coffee bar/retail area routinely throughout the shift. Be proactive in cleaning to keep the workspace behind the coffee shop/retail space and bathrooms Educate our guests on our brewing process Share your passion for craft beer and making guest interactions through unassuming connections Provide our guests with professional, hospitable, and timely service Pour and serve beer in accordance with Mighty Squirrel quality standards Stock and re-stock ice as needed Be proactive in cleaning to keep the workspace behind the bar, the coffee shop/retail space, and taproom, with bathrooms fully stocked and cleaned to Mighty Squirrel Standards Clean and bus taproom routinely through the shift including removal of trash from food brought in from the outside Work as a team to provide exceptional guest satisfaction Fulfil curbside orders Perform all other duties as needed Back of house: Replace and flip empty kegs as needed Be proactive in keeping the cold storage room clean to Mighty Squirrel standards Clean any food baskets Follow opening and closing procedures as outlined in your training Rotate inventory to follow FIFO policy Perform all other duties as needed

Maintenance:

Clean broken glass Maintain sanitary standards, including but not limited to trash removal and mopping Clean draft lines Troubleshoot and solve any equipment issues including but not limited to draft systems and POS systems Perform all other duties as needed

Qualifications Age:

21 years or older. For this position, we don't hire folks under 21 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent required TIPS and/or Serve Safe certified Brewery experience a plus Prior experience serving the public a plus Compensation & Perks Competitive pay + tips Generous Beer and Mighty Squirrel merchandise privileges
