Job Description
About Us At Weathervane Golf Club, we are committed to providing area residents and visitors with chef-inspired cuisine, creative and sophisticated beverage options, and top-level service, creating a truly memorable guest experience. About the Role We are looking for dynamic, experienced individuals who are able to create a pleasant and memorable guest experience by delivering food and beverages in a timely manner. We are currently seeking candidates for permanent, part-time and full-time positions.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITY
- Essential Functions- Greets and interacts with guests in a pleasant and professional manner
- Mixes cocktails, pours wine, beer and all other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the event.
- Enters orders in Point of Sale (POS) software and collects payment, as needed.
- Monitors alcohol consumption, exercising best practices in accordance with state and local laws.
- Makes beverage recommendations.
- Upsells and promotes products.
- Maintains a clean bar and workspace.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all wine, beer and spirits offered in the event space.
- Performs side work, as assigned.
- Stocks products and glassware.
- Reports guest issues to management.
- Performs other duties and tasks, as needed.
- Breakdown and clean the bar according to the provided checklist.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience bartending events.
- Current TIPS certification.
- Flexibility, working varying shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction, with a positive and guest-focused attitude.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional appearance.
- Basic Food and Beverage (F&B) knowledge, with focus on wine and spirits offered at the facility.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under stress, while remaining calm and demonstrating patience.
- Advanced listening skills, demonstrating attentiveness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Ability to quickly learn POS software and operate it efficiently.
