Company Overview JoJo's Restaurant & Tap House is a lively full-service restaurant nestled in the downtown historic district, offering a mix of casual dining and craft beer experiences. Our establishment features a cozy dining area, a private event room, and a vibrant tap house with 30 rotating craft beers. We're passionate about creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy great food and drinks. Job Summary We're on the lookout for an energetic and dependable Barback and Food Runner to join our dynamic team. This role is all about supporting our front-of-house staff by ensuring the bar and dining areas run smoothly, delivering excellent guest service, and helping maintain a clean, organized environment. If you love working in a fast-paced setting and have a passion for hospitality, this position is perfect for you! Responsibilities Restock bar supplies, glassware, and utensils to keep the bar fully equipped for service. Assist bartenders by preparing garnishes, filling ice bins, and handling other support tasks. Deliver food orders promptly from the kitchen to tables while ensuring accuracy and presentation. Clear tables efficiently, bussing dishes and resetting tables for new guests. Maintain cleanliness in both the bar and dining areas in compliance with food safety standards. Support the team during busy hours by managing guest needs and ensuring smooth service flow. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and servers to coordinate service. Requirements Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and proper sanitation practices. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a lively environment. Experience with serving, bussing, or food preparation is highly desirable. A positive attitude with a willingness to learn about culinary operations and guest services.
