Job Description

Beverage Manager - Weddings & Events $20-$23 per hour | Full-Time Herrington on the Bay is seeking an experienced Beverage Manager to lead bar operations for 130+ weddings and special events each year at our high-end waterfront venue on the Chesapeake Bay. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys craft cocktails, team leadership, and event operations in a fast-paced environment. The Beverage Manager oversees beverage program development, inventory and vendor management, and bartending staff to ensure exceptional service for every event. Since 1992, we have hosted thousands of weddings and celebrations while building a strong culture centered on our core values: Commitment Clarity Collaboration Care Celebration Key Responsibilities Design and manage beverage packages for weddings and private events Create signature cocktails and batching programs for large events Manage beverage ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships Maintain bar pull sheets and inventory systems Recruit, train, and supervise bartending staff Schedule and lead bartenders during events Collaborate with event planning and culinary teams Ensure beverage service aligns with client contracts and event timelines Bartend as needed during events to support operations Qualifications Required 3+ years experience as a Bar Manager, Beverage Manager, or Lead Bartender Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, batching, beverage costing, and inventory Experience supervising or training bar staff Excellent communication and organizational skills Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays Preferred Event venue or hospitality management experience Vendor purchasing and inventory management experience Valid driver's license Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended shifts (10+ hours) Ability to lift 30-50 pounds Comfortable working in outdoor event environments
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
