Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and personable Bar Tender to join our vibrant events venue team. In this role, you will be the heart of the celebration, providing exceptional beverage service while creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for guests. Your expertise in mixing drinks, managing POS systems, and delivering outstanding customer service will ensure every event is memorable. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately, adhering to all food safety and alcohol service regulations. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders, handle cash and card transactions, and manage tabs with precision. Maintain a clean, organized bar area, ensuring all tools, glassware, and supplies are stocked and sanitized regularly. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing excellent customer service that enhances their event experience. Manage multiple orders simultaneously using effective time management skills to ensure timely service during busy events. Assist with setup and breakdown of bar stations for various functions including nightclubs, banquets, catering events, and private parties. Follow food handling procedures and food safety standards diligently to ensure guest safety at all times. Qualifications Proven experience as a bartender in hospitality settings such as restaurants, nightclubs, or banquet venues; fine dining experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. Strong knowledge of beverage recipes, brewing processes, and food safety regulations within the food industry. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally. Ability to manage cash handling accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume events. Previous catering or banquet experience preferred; retail math skills are advantageous.
