Door Security/ Barback Mulligan's Pub Grand Rapids, MI Job Details Part-time $12 - $14 an hour + tips 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Driver's License Conflict management Full Job Description Mulligan's Pub is looking for a Door Man/Barback preferably with some experience. Open availability is preferred Shifts are usually 8pm-Close most evenings so this job works well around school or another job. Weekend Availability is non-negotiable.
Door Man Position Details:
Check all patron IDs at Door to determine validity Work to diffuse all situations within club through talking when possible rather than physical intervention Ability to pay very close attention to details Work to keep all patrons and staff safe by noticing potential issues before they become problems Ability to stand for 4-6 hours a night without a break Ability to take direction Watch for intoxicated customers and notify staff/Ensure they have a safe ride home Ability to hold attention for extended periods of time and deal with monotony during shift Experience working as a Security Guard is preferable but will train person with the right temperament
Barback Position Details:
Changing Kegs Stocking Beer/Liquor Washing Dishes during busy times Organizing Beer Bottle Room Putting away Deliveries Please only apply to this position if you are truly comfortable with being in a position where you must confront difficult situations while staying cool headed and in control of your emotions. We are looking for individuals who understand that diffusing issues through talking are the best way to handle situations with patrons in the venue and use physical intervention as an absolute last resort. We aim to be kind and respectful to patrons in order to preserve a positive reputation in the community. Security is as much a customer service job as any other position in this business. Position pays $12.50 an hour plus tips each night
