As a Bar Back, you are expected to help create a positive first impression by ensuring 100% cleanliness and sanitation at bars and service wells. The duty mainly focuses on the set up and cleanliness of the bartop, with the removal of silverware, plateware, and removing and washing glassware during or after each visit, along with the sanitation of both the seating area as well as the table itself. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following items are key points that will be addressed during your training and are expectations of the position. Of course, the responsibilities are not limited to these items listed. ? Cleanliness ? Daily Tasks ? Multi-tasking and efficient ? Smile! Display Hospitality and Professionalism at all times ? Table and bar top detail ? Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies. ? Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience. ? Participate in and satisfactorily complete all required training for the applicable position. ? Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters and maintains positive relationships with coworkers and supervisors. This would include but not be limited to such actions: resolution of conflicts in a positive manner; courteous treatment of staff, customers, vendors and visitors; respect of others' property and person, professional and appropriate communication to and about co-workers, supervisors and subordinates. Support the Mission of the Blue Plate Restaurant Company by being appropriately engaged in the business and by treating every customer, visitor/vendor and colleague with respect and dignity, and without discrimination of any kind. ? Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
The position requires a high school diploma and/or GED equivalent. Other qualifications required are outstanding interpersonal communications skills, ability to work very well in a fast-paced team-oriented environment, exceptional ability to engage with guests and consistently project a professional and incident-free dining experience for our guests; strong organizational and multitasking skills are also required.
