Experienced Bartender

Job Summary:

Panino's is an upscale casual bar and restaurant which has been a fixture in the North Oaks neighborhood for more than 25 years. We have a great team and great customers. We are looking for a passionate, creative, and experienced bartender to join our team to elevate our guests' experiences with expertly crafted cocktails and exceptional hospitality. This role is perfect for someone who loves spirits, wine and beer, has knowledge and experience, takes pride in their mixology skills, and enjoys creating unique and memorable moments for every guest. Tired of driving downtown and getting home at 3:00 AM. Panino's is open from 11:00 am to 11:00 PM most days. We have a regular customer base with great tips most shifts. Wage listed includes a conservative tip estimates. We offer flexible schedules with opportunities for day and evening shifts. Work part time or closer to a full time schedule, with advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Bartending Excellence:

Create high-quality cocktails and beverages with precision, using house-made ingredients, fresh produce, and artisanal techniques. Innovate and collaborate on seasonal cocktail menus that reflect creativity and align with our brand's identity. Ensure each drink is presented beautifully and consistently, with attention to detail in taste, balance, and aesthetics.

Guest Experience:

Provide personalized recommendations and educate guests about our food menu as well as spirits, wines, beers, and specialty cocktails. Engage with guests to create a welcoming, upbeat atmosphere, fostering a connection to the craft cocktail experience. Maintain professionalism and deliver top-tier service, ensuring every guest leaves with a positive impression.

Bar Operations:

Manage inventory, including tracking usage of spirits, mixers, and garnishes to minimize waste. Maintain an impeccably clean and organized bar area, adhering to health and safety standards. Prepare garnishes, syrups, and infusions ahead of service, ensuring readiness during peak hours.

Collaboration and Growth:

Work closely with the bar team to ensure smooth operations and share knowledge about craft cocktail techniques and trends. Stay updated on industry developments, including new ingredients, techniques, and equipment. Contribute to staff training and mentorship to enhance team skills and performance.

Qualifications:

Proven experience and skill as a bartender, with a focus on craft cocktails or mixology. Strong knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines, and beer, along with pairing principles. Creative mindset with an eye for detail and design in drink presentation. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Toast POS systems and basic math skills for accurate transactions. Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and move for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs as necessary. Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-energy setting.
