Job Description
Job Overview Prasino is seeking a Bartender! We are a large, fast paced, high volume craft cocktail lounge & upscale restaurant located in the Streets of St. Charles complex next to Ameristar Casino and historic St. Charles Main Street. 5 shifts to start. Must have weekend availability (Saturday & Sunday, Day or Night). Most likely will involve 3 shifts during the week and 2 on the weekends. A mixture of day and night shifts. High volume bar and craft cocktail experience preferred. We serve guests, not drinks. Prasino is an American Eclectic Restaurant that sources as much organic, local and natural product as possible for our cuisine and bar program. Scratch kitchen, scratch bar. We are Chef owned and Operated. Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering questions about drink options. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and operating the cash register. Assist with food service as needed, including food handling and serving during busy periods or special events such as banquets. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and communicate needs to management. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the food industry. Qualifications Previous experience is required. Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, wine pairings, and beverage trends. Familiarity with retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work well under pressure. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs. Join us!
