About the
Role:
The Lead Bartender plays a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by managing bar operations within a dynamic hospitality environment. This position requires overseeing daily bar activities, ensuring high standards of service, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patrons. The Lead Bartender will mentor and guide bar staff, fostering teamwork and professional development to enhance overall performance. Additionally, this role involves inventory management, quality control, and collaboration with management to optimize bar profitability and efficiency. Ultimately, the Lead Bartender ensures that every guest enjoys a memorable and enjoyable visit, contributing to the establishment's reputation and success.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 3 years of bartending experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of drink recipes, and beverage trends. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a supervisory or lead role within a bar or restaurant setting. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software. Knowledge of local and state alcohol laws and regulations
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Supervise and coordinate the activities of bartending staff, providing training, support, and performance feedback. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor stock to prevent shortages or overstocking. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any service issues promptly and professionally. Ensure adherence to all licensing laws and responsible alcohol service policies.
Skills:
Leadership and interpersonal skills are essential for managing and motivating the bar team, ensuring smooth operations and excellent service. Organizational skills are applied in inventory management and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace. Communication skills facilitate effective interaction with customers, staff, and management, helping to resolve issues and implement new initiatives. Additionally, knowledge of compliance and safety standards ensures that all activities adhere to legal and health requirements, promoting a safe and responsible environment.
