MOTBY Social is looking for a fun and friendly individual to join our team as a Bartender. This is a fast-paced position with hours that vary each day. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills and is capable of interacting with guests, utilizing company policies to solve customer issues, handling cash transactions, and following detailed recipes.
Responsibilities:
Serve alcoholic drinks to customers. Oversee the safe operation of the bar and restaurant. Provide good customer service. Follow food safety procedures and maintain a clean establishment. Keep accurate records of inventory and sale transactions. Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment. Collect money for drinks served. Balance cash receipts. Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol. Clean bars, work areas, and tables. Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons. Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer. Plan, organize, and control the operations of a cocktail lounge or bar. Stock bar with beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, or straws. Serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar. Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks. Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays. Prepare appetizers such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats. Qualifications:
US work authorization (Required) Punctual, attentive to detail, friendly, willing to learn, reliable and above all, honest ServSafe certified In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, drink and food preparation techniques Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when necessary Willingness to uphold high standards Possess strong organizational and decision-making skills Bayonne Bar card is required at beginning of employment.
