Bartender Meximodo | Jersey City, NJ Meximodo Jersey City is seeking experienced, hospitality-driven Bartenders to join our high-energy bar program. We are a destination concept and the 2024 Guinness World Record holder for the most agave spirits under one roof , so strong tequila and agave knowledge is a must. This role is ideal for professionals who take pride in craft, guest experience, and consistency in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Responsibilities Provide friendly, responsive, and engaging bar service that exceeds guest expectations Demonstrate strong knowledge of tequila, mezcal, and agave spirits; confidently guide guests through selections Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards Anticipate guest needs and maintain awareness of the overall bar experience Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws Accurately enter orders, manage tabs, and process payments Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns promptly and professionally Support the service team as needed during peak periods Complete opening, closing, side work, and cleaning duties Attend required trainings and pre-shift meetings Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Open availability including nights, weekends and holidays is requied. Prior bartending experience in an upscale or high-volume restaurant preferred Strong tequila and agave spirits knowledge required Ability to obtain and maintain a Jersey City Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Bar Card , including fingerprinting Professional, polished, reliable, and guest-focused Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. You must also have the ability to climb our top shelf ladders. Compensation & Legal Notice (NJ Compliance)

Base Pay:

$6.05/hour plus tips

Estimated Earnings:
