Job Description

Do you need a flexible work schedule for supplemental income? Want to serve alcohol at luxury weddings and events? We at Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality provide innovative cuisine and extraordinary hospitality for over 700 weddings every year across our 16 beautiful venues in the tri-state area. JAM Hospitality is looking for part-time bartenders to work at these weddings and events. Working at a JAM event is not your average service or restaurant job. //vimeo.com/1012489292 Requirements & Qualifications Prior bartending experience or training is required . You should be knowledgeable of common cocktail recipes, have a current RAMP certification, and be able to serve a large volume of guests (100+). You should be able to drive yourself to our venues. Physical requirements include being able to lift 20 lbs and be on your feet for the duration of an average 9-hour shift (there will be breaks and time for staff to eat). Responsibilities & Duties Setting up your own bar stations and recording alcohol inventory. Serving guests alcohol and mixed drinks during cocktail hour and reception. Providing wine service, hospitality, and attending to guests' needs as they arise. Clean and breakdown of your stations after the event. Schedule Expectations The wedding season runs from April to November . There are events every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A typical wedding shift runs from early afternoon to midnight and lasts between 8 to 12 hours . The typical shift is $150 - $250 . Although its not guaranteed, you'll often receive cash tips from guests at the bar and from the client at the end of a shift. All applications are subject to background checks.
