Full Job Description About Us:

The Wilshire Grand Hotel & Catering is a premier event venue in West Orange, New Jersey, known for hosting weddings, corporate events, and private functions with outstanding service and attention to detail. We are seeking a reliable, personable, and experienced bartender to join our banquet team.

Job Summary:

As a banquet/event bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages during catered events. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a flexible schedule and thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

Set up and break down bar stations for events Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests Check guest identification to ensure legal drinking age Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar area Follow proper cash handling and drink ticket procedures when required Provide friendly, timely, and professional service at all times Collaborate with banquet team to ensure seamless event execution

Requirements:

Prior bartending experience (banquet or event experience preferred) Knowledge of beer, wine, and cocktails Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs Must be at least 21 years old Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate, based on experience Gratuities (where applicable)
