Bartender

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team at 64 Albany Pub & Grille. 64 Albany Pub & Grille is a sports bar in the heart of downtown Cazenovia, NY, offering a lively atmosphere, quality drinks, and delicious pub fare. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming space where locals and visitors alike can relax, watch the game, and enjoy exceptional service. Nights and Weekend availability a must. Bartenders and Servers are cross trained for both positions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in the Toast POS systems as well as the ability to manage time effectively while delivering high-quality beverages and service to our guests. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Engage with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport to enhance their experience. Process transactions accurately using POS systems, including Aloha and Micros, while handling cash responsibly. Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels for efficient operation. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours, especially during banquets and catering events. Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring guests feel welcome and valued at all times. Experience Previous bartending experience in a fine dining or nightclub setting is preferred. Familiarity with food safety practices and food handling regulations is essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Experience with sales techniques to promote beverages and specials effectively. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Background in the food industry or retail math is advantageous. Knowledge of brewing techniques is a plus for those interested in craft cocktails or specialty drinks.
