Server/Bartender Middle Grove, NY 12850 $22.17 - $26.70 an hour - Part-time $22.17 - $26.70 an hour - Part-time Job Overview We are seeking an fun and skilled Bartender/Server to join our family. The ideal candidate will have a passion for bartending and serving and a strong commitment t0 hospitality in a fast-paced environment. This role requires the ability to use a Point of Sale (POS) system, as well as a solid understanding of food safety and handling practices. Experience in casual dining and other restaurant settings is highly desirable. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders and offering recommendations based on their preferences. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Utilize POS system efficiently for order processing and payment transactions. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverage orders. Serve Multiple tables at a time with grace and efficiency while providing great customer service. Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and assist with ordering when necessary. Uphold high standards of hospitality while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Stay informed about current trends in the food industry. Qualifications Previous experience in bartending or food service within a restaurant or tavern setting is preferred. Familiarity with POS, or similar systems is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with guests effectively. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations is essential. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by the establishment's schedule.
