Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and personable bartender to join our team at a beachside shack in Montauk. The bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages efficiently while providing friendly, attentive service in a busy, casual environment. Duties Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards Manage table settings, bussing, and resetting tables efficiently to maintain a clean dining environment Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders Utilize reservation management tools like OpenTable to optimize seating arrangements and guest flow Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions, concerns, or special requests professionally Follow sanitation protocols to uphold hygiene standards in food handling and restaurant cleanliness Requirements Proven restaurant experience with a strong background in food service and guest relations Familiarity with POS systems Demonstrated ability in upselling, sales techniques, and maximizing revenue opportunities Excellent time management skills to handle multiple guests/tables efficiently during busy hours Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Experience with food preparation, bussing, serving, and basic math for cash handling transactions Strong communication skills coupled with a friendly, energetic attitude Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays Join us if you're passionate about hospitality!
