Job Description

Empire Hotel Services is looking for a service-oriented bartender with mixologist skills to join our team. Ideal candidates will have experience behind the bar, strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm for guest satisfaction. The Bartender/Mixologist will be responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of the bar and beverage preparation areas. As well as providing excellent service to all guests while mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as fine wine, cocktails, beer, and appetizers to our guests. You should possess excellent communication skills and find enjoyment in creating and serving innovative cocktails, pairing food and drinks, and putting a smile on a guest's face by providing memorable experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working knowledge of how and what bar tools to use and when including proper pours and glassware choices. Knowledge of recipes, ingredients, and ability to consistently and efficiently make classic cocktails Comfortability with material to be able to upsell and promote substitutes based on our selection of offerings Elevated service experience while executing the technical skills of bartending Ability to craft delicious beverages with consistent standards, focusing on quality and efficiency of service Knowledge of both classic and modern classic cocktails, as well as extensive knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits Ability to learn or create recipes for cocktails with attention to flavor profiles and guest preferences Interact with all guests, actively working to build regular clientele and repeat guests by building a knowledge database of preferences and recommendations Follow open, running, and closing cleaning and checkout procedures and handle basic cleaning duties Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Have accurate cash handling and payment processing Each associate will be required to follow the rules as found in the EHS Employee Handbook. Perform other duties as assigned by management, of which employee is capable of performing.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years in a bartending role, crafting specialty cocktails in a high-volume, elevated food and beverage organization Extensive knowledge of beer (including Lagers, Stouts, Ports, IPAs, draft, etc.), wine (including different varietals, regions, and food pairing), coffee, tea, and spirits This position will also require bartender to utilize the turbo chef to make small bites at the bar. Knowledge of classic cocktail recipes Proficiency in math and cash-handling skills
