It's the second project from the team behind the restaurant, Kiko, located in Hudson Square. Noury will curate a extensive sake and wine list. Sake knowledge is a plus but not required. HEAD SOMMELIER
who is committed to creating an unforgettable dining experience for our guests, educating our staff and growing our business. Noury is owned by husband & wife team, Chef Alex Chang and sommelier, Lina Goujjane in collaboration with CDC Joji Miwa, formerly of Sushi Noz. Located on Sullivan Street, Noury intends to become a permanent fixture in downtown Manhattan. We celebrate the best of Japanese izakaya dining, known for a social atmosphere where guests can happily enjoy small plates paired with drinks like sake, wine & beer. Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Work under the direction of the General Manager to manage daily operations of an upscale dining restaurant. Work harmoniously with the entire front of the house team to educate staff; train team members in order to maximize their understanding of wine and proper service techniques including glassware, pour levels, storage, beverage pairings and the ability to understand guest preferences. Develop a training program for all team members to improve their knowledge of wine tasting and wine service. Work with all team members to expedite and provide excellent service to all guests; assist members and guests during the services with wine recommendations and selection for perfect pairing with their meal, decanting of the wine and wine service. Maintain beverage lists to be accurate, up to date and free of errors. Manage inventory. Comfortable with closing shifts Must be able to to : Receive and stock product; Must be able to repeatedly lift and move 40-pound boxes. Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Proper grooming and professional appearance.
