We are looking for a team player who can work well with other team members and is eager to learn and grow within the company as a shift leader. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous Restaurant Experience is a Plus Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, weekends, and holidays and sometimes overnight as needed (we are a 24-hour operation) Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and other employees (FOH & BOH) Must be able to operate restaurant equipment, including cash register, kitchen utensils, and other equipment Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures. This is a tipped position!
Position Responsibilities Drink Preparation:
Mix ingredients to create standard and specialty cocktails, pour alcoholic/nonalcoholic drinks very quickly, pour frozen slushies & draft beers, and serve wine according to exact recipes and presentation standards. Customer Service:
Greet guests warmly, answer menu questions, and offer tailored recommendations to enhance the dining experience, while providing an excellent, engaging, and welcoming atmosphere. Safety & Compliance:
Verify customer IDs and monitor consumption to prevent over-intoxication and adhere to all NYS/NYC liquor laws. Financial Transactions, Cash Handling / Order Taking & Serving:
Take accurate food and beverage orders, enter them into the Spot-On/TOAST POS system, and deliver them to tables; Must have knowledge of handling cash and manage open tabs accordingly. Bar Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar. This includes washing glassware, preparing garnishes, sanitizing bar tools, and restocking ice and liquor. Other important duties:
Must be on top of supplies/items/stock levels and handle opening/during/closing side-work. Requirements & Skills Interpersonal Skills:
Exceptional communication, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to resolve guest complaints with professionalism. Knowledge:
Deep understanding of mixology, spirits, wine, and beer varieties. Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk continuously, and lift heavy items like kegs. Multitasking:
Ability to handle heavy volume, manage multiple guest requests, and work in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple drink orders and requests simultaneously. Certifications:
NYC Food Handlers, TIPS/SAFE-SERV Certification Availability:
