Building on the success of Erma's Island, our new concept offers elevated Jamaican cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, and warm island hospitality. We're looking for passionate individuals to join our team and help create an unforgettable dining experience rooted in culture, flavor, and community. Position Summary The Bartender is responsible for crafting and serving cocktails from Erma's rotating Caribbean-inspired menu. You'll maintain a professional and engaging bar presence, ensuring that guests enjoy high-quality beverages and memorable service. This role requires strong cocktail knowledge, speed, and adherence to responsible alcohol service standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks per Erma's recipes. Maintain knowledge of the rotating Caribbean cocktail program and seasonal ingredients. Set up and restock the bar with liquor, garnishes, ice, and glassware. Engage with guests, answer questions, and provide pairing suggestions. Maintain cleanliness of the bar, tools, and equipment throughout service. Adhere to TIPS certification guidelines and responsible alcohol service laws. Communicate effectively with barbacks, servers, and management. Assist in inventory management and closing procedures. Qualifications 1+ years of bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or cocktail bar. Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and Caribbean spirits. TIPS certification required or willingness to obtain. Excellent communication and multitasking skills. Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining quality. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long hours.
