Our cellar holds 235+ bottles — and earned the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence . Our cocktail program leans aromatic and ingredient-driven (saffron, sumac, rose, pomegranate, pistachio orgeat), and our zero-proof menu — Shiraz in Bloom , Provence in Bloom Zéro — is built with the same intent as the spirited side. We don't run a service well or a flair bar. We run a conversation bar. Guests sit, ask questions, and expect real answers. What You'll Do Run service at our main bar — high volume on weekends, intimate on weeknights Build cocktails to spec, with consistency, speed, and care Pour and recommend wines from a 235+ bottle list — including off-list pairings for curious guests Make zero-proof drinks with the same craft as the spirited menu Maintain bar setup, mise, glassware rotation, garnish prep, and end-of-night close Keep accurate tabs through Toast and coordinate with servers on table tickets Handle guest questions about Persian ingredients, the wine list, and the menu with confidence Know your responsibilities cold around alcohol service and ID checks What You Bring 2+ years behind a full-service or cocktail-program bar Solid foundation in classics + modern technique (you know what a Negroni and a Last Word should taste like) Real wine curiosity — formal certification not required, but you've tasted widely and you're still tasting TIPS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days) NY Food Protection Certificate (or willingness to obtain within 30 days) Speed without sloppiness, and grace under a crowded rail Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays Prior experience with Persian, Mediterranean, or natural wine programs is a plus What You Get $11.35/hr + tips Tip pooling structure shared transparently in onboarding A bar program that takes itself seriously — and a kitchen that earns its accolades (MICHELIN Bib Gourmand 2020-2022, Wine Spectator AoE, NYT 'Very Good') Real growth: lead bartender, beverage director, and AGM paths exist for the right person How to Apply Send a resume and a short note — not a cover letter hello @shirazkitchen.
