Diverse candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Our Private Events Department is looking for hard working, part-time staff to join our team. Your help will be used for beverage service during weddings, corporate events, and other types of social events that take place in our private event rooms.

Essential Functions:

Set up & break down of bars and event spaces. Properly take orders and serve beverages to guests. Interact with guests in a friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and confident manner. Keep work areas clean, organized and appropriately stocked. Collect, clean, and maintain all barware before, during, and after events. Properly & efficiently run bar/table service and BOH duties for each event. Efficiently observe each event for underage drinking and over intoxication. Deal with complaints or problems that may arise with a positive, hospitable attitude. Always work collaboratively with management. Assist Manager and Event Coordinators with all needs before, during, and after events. Work as a team with Rhinegeist event staff to ensure all clients & guests receive the best experience possible. All other tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Lift anywhere between 5 lbs - 50+ lbs multiple times per day - using carts/dollies to transport from space to space Kegs Cases of wine, liquor, soda, beer, etc Tables Chairs Linen bags Trash/recycling Glassware/cases Vendor load in/load out Bending, squatting, reaching Standing/Walking for 8 hours with scattered opportunities to sit Climbing multiple flights of stairs several times a day to different event spaces

Qualifications:

Experience in the hospitality industry required. Safely and diligently execute

COVID-19

complaint procedures, including guest management, before, during and after events (training provided). Knowledge and experience on how to properly ID people. Must have at least 2 days of availability each week - Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Ability to move up to 50 lbs. Basic wine & cocktail knowledge. ServSafe Certified (will provide if needed). Certified Cicerone Beer Server (training provided). Please consider applying even if you do not match all the listed qualifications.
