If you enjoy working with people, learning new skills, and being part of a social, gaming-focused environment, this could be a great fit. This role is ideal for someone who wants flexible hours while gaining experience in hospitality, events, and the gaming space. Game Arena is a hybrid venue combining a full-service bar and kitchen with PC gaming, consoles, and racing simulators. We regularly host tournaments, private events, and community nights, creating a unique atmosphere for both staff and guests. Located on North High Street near the Gateway Film Center. Position Overview This is a part-time role (up to 25 hours/week), primarily evenings and weekends. Shifts typically range from 4-8 hours, and event schedules are communicated in advance. What You'll Do Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests Create both classic drinks and house cocktails Take orders and provide table/bar service with a strong hospitality focus Guide guests through menu options and make recommendations Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area Deliver a welcoming, high-quality experience for all customers Learn basic details about gaming offerings, pricing, and events Help guests understand and enjoy the full Game Arena experience Stay active on your feet throughout shifts What We're Looking For 21+ years old Prior bartending or serving experience (6+ months preferred) Comfortable in a busy, social environment Strong communication and customer service skills Team-oriented mindset and reliability Willingness to learn both bar and gaming-side basics Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Perks & Benefits Flexible scheduling Employee food discounts Free play on PCs, consoles, and racing simulators Staff events and team-focused culture "Free Drink Fridays" and other team perks Compensation Starting at $5.05/hour + tips Location 1556 N High St, Columbus, OH Check us out!
