Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic staff members to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert food and beverage knowledge, and a positive attitude. Your energy and hospitality will create memorable dining moments for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer relations, and hospitality in a lively environment. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations using TOAST, and seat guests efficiently. Take accurate food and beverage orders using TOAST systems and ensuring all special requests are noted. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular dishes, drink specials, and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff. Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously. Clear tables, bus tables efficiently, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness to uphold sanitation standards. Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for bills, and process payments securely. Support bar service during evening hours, ensuring a lively yet professional atmosphere. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts and contribute to a positive work environment. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, but not necessary. Familiarity with TOAST systems is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods. Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining genuine guest engagement. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding related legal requirements is advantageous. (When applicable) Basic math skills for cashiering duties including cash handling and bill calculations. Previous host/hostess experience or restaurant experience that demonstrates guest relations capabilities is beneficial. Join us in creating memorable dining experiences where energy meets excellence!
