Job Description

Description:
This position is responsible for the safe preparation of creating beverages for guests at Saint Clement's Castle and Marina. Setting up, serving, and cleaning up of bar areas are part of this position's job duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Set up, break down and maintain cleanliness of the bar and service area. Bartenders are required to complete a liquor inventory during set up. Bartenders should report to the F&B Manager to review specific event details such as timeline, specialty drinks details and to request any additional stock needs prior to and during the event and record stock on the inventory sheet. Responsible for stocking polished glassware, ice bins, mixers, fresh garnish, necessary paper goods and any other needed bar items. Responsible for checking equipment and making sure kegs and soda boxes are full and in good working order. Bartenders are required to check IDs of potentially underage individuals and serve guests responsibly through monitoring the amount of alcohol being served while being attentive for any signs of impairment. Bartenders should immediately report and potentially intoxicated guests to management for situation assessment. Bartenders are responsible for accepting guest payments for cash bars and accurately recording the total beverage consumption for host bars. After service bartenders must thoroughly clean and break down the bar area, empty ice bins/Cambro's, move any equipment or portable bars to designated storage areas, dispose of trash and recyclables, and complete a closing liquor inventory before checking out with the Event Manager. Maintaining knowledge and adhering to all Saint Clements Castle policies and procedures established by the company, including but not limited to those in the employee handbook.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must have 1 to 2 years of bartending experience or Smart Training Certified. Must be TIPS Certified . Must be able to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding atmosphere while providing quality beverages, attentive service, and friendly guest interaction. Must have extensive knowledge of spirits, beer and wines and be able to provide beverage suggestions and accommodate special requests with the goal of maximizing and enriching the guest experience. Must be able to work long shifts of 7 to 8 hours. Must be available to work weekends and nights .
