Position SummaryAs a bartender, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and memorable dining experience for our guests. Your exceptional cocktail-making skills, knowledge of beverages, and ability to provide excellent customer service will contribute to the overall success of our establishment.
Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages promptly and accurately, while maintaining high quality and consistency.
Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking their orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all supplies and ingredients are readily available.
Follow all established recipes, measurements, and presentation standards to ensure the quality of the beverages served.
Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, processing payments and providing guests with appropriate change.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of bar supplies, such as alcohol, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and utensils, and place orders as needed.
Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of alcoholic beverages, to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
Secondary Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide excellent customer service: Greet guests warmly, answer any questions they may have, and assist them in selecting menu items, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
Take and deliver orders: Efficiently and accurately take food and beverage orders from guests, utilizing the restaurant's ordering system. Ensure accuracy and prompt delivery of orders to the kitchen and guests' tables.
Upsell and suggest menu items: Familiarize yourself with the menu offerings and make recommendations to guests, highlighting daily specials and promotions. Upsell additional items such as appetizers, food and beverages to enhance the guests experience.
Ensure guest satisfaction: Continuously monitor guests' needs throughout their dining experience. Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally. Provide timely refills, condiments, and additional requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with team members: Work closely with kitchen staff and servers to ensure seamless coordination and flow of service. Communicate any specific guest requests or modifications to the kitchen team.
Maintain cleanliness and organization: Set up tables and stations, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked with necessary items. Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean and inviting dining environment.
Skills and QualificationsPrevious experience as a Bartender in a full-service restaurant or similar setting.
In-depth knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, their ingredients, and proper preparation techniques.
Proficient in creating classic and innovative cocktails, as well as the ability to adapt to customer preferences and special requests.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide exceptional guest experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and making change.
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and experience handling transactions.
