Door Person / Bar Support (Floater)Yur's Bar & Grill Portland, OR We're a classic neighborhood dive bar packed with regulars and steady night crowds. Looking for a reliable door person (not full-on security) to keep the front smooth, boost service speed, and help everyone stay safe and having fun. On busier or short-staffed nights, you'll flex into barback duties to help out.What the role looks like:
Primary gig: Door person. Greet guests friendly but firm, check every ID (no exceptions, main priority), keep an eye on the vibe, alert bartenders to anything off, help de-escalate if needed, call dispatch security if things go beyond staff control, and help bartenders with light bussing/restocking duties. Bar support/float duties (as needed on different nights): Bus glassware from inside/patio to the bar, restock ice/glassware/liquor basics, help with closing cleans (wiping down, restocking, trash), and jump in on whatever keeps the bar running smooth so bartenders stay focused on pours and people.

- Dependable, reliable, punctual, and sober on shift
- Confident, kind, approachable, good at holding boundaries with a chill attitude
- Comfortable around intoxicated folks
- Able to move fast, lift glassware/kegs if needed, handle cleaning tasks
- Experience in dive bar culture is a big plus
- OLCC alcohol server permit (DPSST
NOT REQUIRED
) Compensation- $20/hr base
- Tipped out nightly by the bartender(s) based on how much you support the floor/bar
