Palm Court Server/Bartender The historic Benson Portland, A Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a Server/Bartender for The Palm Court restaurant and bar. We are looking for someone who is outgoing, friendly, enjoys working in a team atmosphere and can provide excellent customer service.

Full-time Hourly + tips Union Position Essential Functions and Tasks:
Understand the systems and norms of the Palm Court Restaurant Develop a deep understanding of the menus and be ready to assist guests in their dining choices Work quickly and efficiently to expedite orders to the kitchen Run food from the kitchen to the tables when necessary Complete all side work to include filling and stocking salt/pepper shakers, separating linen, wiping counters, rolling/polish silverware, helping keep stock room neat and orderly Ensure prompt and courteous service to guests in keeping with the values of The Benson Hotel. Maintain communication with runners, bartender, servers, MOD Keep the work area neat and organized. Professionally deal with difficult situations/people. Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and drink recipes Familiarity with responsible alcohol service Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong customer service and communication skills Complete all other duties as assigned by MOD. Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous bartending experience 1+ year required 2+ years of server/restaurant experience Must possess a friendly and open demeanor Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, and on varying surfaces Must be able to lift, bend, stretch and reach to: Load and push carts and trays Carry plates and trays of food and drink Efficiently clean surfaces and ready tables for guests when necessary Must possess a strong work ethic Flexible schedule is required; this position will be mostly mornings and weekends Able to provide a valid OLCC Service Permit and Food Handlers Card within 2 weeks of hire Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$20.35/hour + tips This is an hourly, union position. Pre-employment background check and E-verification is required.
